The man shuffled back in his chair. Dean was towering over him.
“No, you didn’t, you said Dean. You said, ‘No one will miss you, Dean.’
How do you know I am called Dean?
What’s going on?
Do I know you?”
Send in the clown.
"Should I put a happy or sad face on today?”
“Happy, I suppose. You lot are scary enough, you don’t need any help.”
“Happy it is, then.” The clown started to apply an upturned mouth to his already busy face.
“What did you mean, I’m as good as dead if I leave?”
Check mate.
The board was carnage. There was hardly a white piece left on it.
The king was looking very naked, a couple of loyal pawns were fighting to the end, but eventually they all surrendered.
The black pieces were all over the board, flexing their muscles and looking proud of themselves.

“So you’re a trader from Whitby, who’d have thought? There you go, Sam – you want a name for your boat. How about The Whitby Trader?”
'Do not alight here!'
Cockfield Station. Cockfield Station, the next stop.”
Dean turned and looked at the guard. “I thought we didn’t stop here. Disused, you said.”
The guard put his head down. He couldn’t bring himself to look at Dean. “It’s got a use today, sir.”

Yes there is a clown in this book, run for the hills, don't buy Room 119 it has a clown in it, scary psycho clowns bla-bla-bla. Well how about you give a clown a break, you might just like him.
Benjie the clown is probably my most favourite character that has ever had the pleasure of coming out of my head and into one of my books, he talks in riddles helping Dean our MC help himself, to well, help himself. So, you lot with 'Coulrophobia' I think you should be fine with this mystery fantasy thriller.

Coulrophobia is the fear of clowns, many people have this fear including Johnny Depp and more interestingly Tim Curry.
Yep, the same Tim Curry who played 'Pennywise' the clown in the first version film version of Stephen King's novel 'IT'
